Cina, Ue verso un nuovo sistema di dazi

La UE cerca una “terza via” per aggirare la decisione sullo status di economia di mercato alla Cina: la Commissione ha concordato ieri di riformare le politiche di difesa commerciale, da un lato modificando la metodologia anti-dumping, dall’altro abolendo la lista dei Paesi considerati non “economia di mercato”. This year marks the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. To commemorate the English poet and playwright, the Shanghai Translators Association is holding a contest to see who can best capture a never-before-translated work about Shakespeare into Chinese. The contest is intended to kindle interest in poetry this summer.


U.S. Warships Surround Disputed Chinese Waters, Prepared For War: “WWIII At Stake”

Territorial disputes are a delicate thing… and potentially deadly as well.

That’s why the U.S. is backing up its positions with an ever-increasing presence of warships  in the South China Sea.

China is very touchy about these territories, and unwilling to give up what they perceive as their waters, even as a UN tribunal just denied their claims and strengthened the U.S. hand.
